UNC 98-Oregon 69

Psycho T made his second start of the season scoring 16 points in just 19 minutes. But the hot shooting continued for Danny Green as he was 5-8 from downtown with 21 points. This game was never in doubt as the Tar Heels cruised past a Duck team that was trying to match the tempo of the number one team in the land. They held Oregon to just 30% shooting for the game while shooting over 50% themselves. Ed Davis also turned in a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Clearly he as some weight to add to his frame, scary for opposing big men. I am also impressed with Larry Drew. He's got great vision, not as fast as Lawson but who is? He is a better passer however and sees the floor better. If Lawson does leave this year they will be more than fine at the point next year. That takes the Heels into a showdown with Notre Dame and a matchup of Luke Harangody and Hansbrough. Tyler looked a little rusty to begin the game but he was 12-14 from the FT line. Tip off for the Maui Invitational championship game is 8 pm MST on ESPN.
